Mr. Shubham Saurabh

Shubham Saurabh is a Communication Designer and educator with over eight years of experience in academia. He completed his Bachelor of Design from MIT Institute of Design, Pune (2018). His practice is deeply rooted in the belief that complex ideas, data, and emotions can be distilled into simple, powerful visual forms—whether through symbols, maps, or graphic systems. His teaching spans a wide range of subjects, including Branding, Typography, Illustration, Advertising & Storytelling, Semiotics, Editorial Design, Design Projects, and Visual Thinking.

He views teaching as a form of performance art, where engagement, curiosity, and energy are as important as content. His classrooms are designed to be dynamic, interactive, and thought-provoking, encouraging students to question, explore, and discover their own visual voice. Visual Thinking remains one of his core areas of interest. He has extensively developed tools and activity-based learning methods—particularly inspired by the concept of Pareidolia—to stimulate right-brain thinking and enhance creative perception among students.

Alongside visual skills, Shubham emphasizes the importance of human psychology in design education. He encourages a research-driven approach that focuses on understanding user behavior, needs, and desires as the foundation for meaningful design solutions. He strongly believes that design begins with keen observation and the deconstruction of everyday, seemingly mundane experiences.
