Mr. Anil Kumar Bhaskar

Ar. Anil Kumar Bhaskar brings over nine years of professional experience in industrial design and furniture design. His Master’s Industrial Design thesis project, focused on the development of night vision goggles for the Indian Army in collaboration with DRDO, received high praise from the Indian Army during an exhibition. In 2015, his furniture designs were featured in A+D magazine. Serving as a mentor, Ar. Bhaskar as mentor and his three students officially registered classroom project with the Indian Patent Office.

Throughout his career, Ar. Bhaskar has contributed to a diverse range of projects, including interiors and furniture for villas in Bangalore, hotel interiors for Taj in New Delhi and IBIS hotel in Ahmedabad, Metro Cash & Carry in New Delhi and Jaipur, high-end residence designs in New Delhi, photo studio and façade treatment, and mall design in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. He played a pivotal role in the landscape design around the F1 Track in Greater Noida, serving as project coordinator. His work has earned him recognition and participation in numerous national and international design awards across different domains.

Ar. Bhaskar actively engages in teaching design and has mentored students from esteemed institutions such as Nirma University, World University of Design in Haryana, among others. Since 2019, he has been serving as Co-discipline lead at the National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh, India. This department, with a history spanning over five decades, has a legacy of producing influential design thinkers, leaders, and visionaries on both national and global levels.

Ar. Bhaskar’s involvement extends to curriculum development at the National Institute of Design, MP, and he serves as a juror in NID for Product Design Streams.

His research interests cover a wide array of areas, including;
Product Design (SPD – TCP),
Circular Materials,
Furniture Design (exhibited in MPDU 23 & patents are in process),
Lighting and White Goods,
Interaction Design (UI/UX), and Architecture/Interior Design/Upcycling.
