Mr. Krishna Kant Pal

Krishna Kant Pal is an interdisciplinary designer, educator, and design practitioner working at the intersection of product design, human behaviour, design psychology, materiality, and making.
He holds a Master of Design in Lifestyle Accessory Design from the National Institute of Design (NID), Gandhinagar, a Bachelor of Design in Product Design from the Indian Institute of Crafts & Design (IICD), Jaipur, and a Diploma in Advanced Animation & Film Making from IDEMI, Mumbai.
His professional practice spans product and industrial design, design education, creative direction, and material exploration, bridging perspectives from both industry and academia.
His areas of interest include Design Psychology, Human-Centred Design, Design Thinking, Material Culture, CMF, Mechanism Design, Tactile Design, Behavioural Design, and Experiential Design.
His teaching approach views design as a process of inquiry rather than simply a process of output. He encourages students to observe deeply, question assumptions, experiment physically, prototype iteratively, and develop ideas through a dialogue between thinking, making, and reflection.A strong believer in tactile thinking, he explores how form, material, movement, sensory feedback, and human behaviour shape the way people perceive and interact with designed objects.
His interdisciplinary practice investigates the relationships between people, objects, materials, technology, behaviour, and culture, encouraging students to think beyond conventional disciplinary boundaries.
