Ms. Jigyasa Arya
Ms. Jigyasa Arya holds a Bachelor of Design in Fashion Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and a Master of Design in Textile Design from the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad. She also completed a semester exchange programme at Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, and pursued a certificate course in Basic Photography at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi, reflecting her interest in multidisciplinary creative exploration.
With professional experience spanning design education and industry practice, she has developed expertise in visual design, surface development, textile exploration, product realisation, and creative direction. Her industry experience includes working on luxury, couture, and export-oriented design projects with established fashion designers and labels, strengthening her understanding of craftsmanship, materiality, and contemporary design practices.
Her design and teaching approach combines conceptual thinking, aesthetic sensitivity, and hands-on experimentation. She encourages students to explore design through observation, inquiry, and making, emphasising the relationship between creative exploration and technical processes.
She has received recognition in several design competitions, including the WorldSkills Competition, the Fashion Olympiad at NIFT Kangra, and the Enamour Lingerie Design Contest.

Colour, Elements of Design, Principles of Design, Print Development, Weaving, Contemporary Surface Design Techniques, Sustainable Design, Fashion Styling, Pattern Making, and Draping.
