Ms. Neetika Devgan

Neetika Devgan is an architect, designer, and a design educator with an experience of over 19 years in the field of design.

She did Master’s in Industrial Design from School of Planning and Architecture Delhi and Bachelor’s in Architecture from Punjab Technical University Bathinda. Her interest in Information Design led her to pursue additional learning programs at IDC, IIT Mumbai and at Bath, UK.

Before transitioning to academia, she enjoyed her experience in the retail industry. Creating holistic environments, experiential platforms for brands and developing product ranges. She has been the creative head at the experience design studio Figments, where she led the team from designing to building award winning experiences for brands like Lakme, Apollo Pharmacy, P&G, Airtel, Kaya, and other institutes. Prior to that her work with Fabindia and Future Group centred around creating and sourcing products like furniture, lighting, and home décor from India and abroad. Fabindia, Future Group and Figments together gave her an overall view to the retail industry. All together her industry experience provided her a global exposure to discovering, creating, building, and delivering human centric experiences.

Her interests span across various aspects of design, including experience design, information design, working with colors, and capturing the beauty of nature through photography.

At NIDMP she is a Senior Faculty and Discipline Lead for Foundation Studies, and as one of the founding members here she has got the opportunity to conceptualise, set up and lead the department since its inception. Along with academics she plays a key role in other responsibilities in conceptualising and planning important details for a new institute. Her other role in her portfolio also includes Activity Chair Integrated Design Services.
