Ms. Shikha Agarwal

Shikha Agarwal is an Associate Senior Faculty in the discipline of Industrial Design, National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh. She has also taught in the departments of design and architecture at School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal. She is pursuing Ph.D. from Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay. Her topic of inquiry is ‘A user centered approach to Wayfinding assessment of rail transit systems’. Prior to joining in the Ph.D. programme in IIT Bombay, she was a Design Research Associate at NID, Ahmedabad working on a design research project on ‘Inclusive design of Public Toilets for Indian slums’. She holds a master’s degree in Ceramics and Glass Design from National Institute of Design Ahmedabad and bachelor’s in fine art degree in painting from Department of Fine Arts, Indore Public School, M.P.

Her research, design and teaching interests include Inclusive Design; Craft & Design; Ceramic & Glass Design; Design Process and Design Research methods; Human Behaviour Research; Wayfinding Research; Product Communication; Science & Liberal Arts
